The customer must notify Egholm Tours as soon as possible if any information in the booking confirmation is incorrect.

The person making the booking is responsible for informing all passengers included in the booking of these terms and any other applicable rules.

3. Prices and Payment

The price of the tour will be stated before the booking is finally confirmed.

All prices are stated in Danish kroner and include any applicable taxes and charges, unless otherwise clearly stated.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods accepted by Egholm Tours. Egholm Tours may require full payment before the booking is finally confirmed.

Any fees charged by banks, card providers or third-party booking platforms are not included in the price charged by Egholm Tours unless otherwise stated.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations, changes and refunds are handled in accordance with the applicable Refund and Cancellation Terms of Egholm Tours.

All bookings are binding, and no refund will normally be provided if the customer cancels the booking.

5. Departure and Arrival

Passengers must arrive at the stated meeting point no later than 15 minutes before departure.

The customer is responsible for locating the correct meeting point and arriving on time.

The boat cannot be expected to wait for passengers who arrive late. If the customer does not arrive on time, this will be regarded as a cancellation by the customer, and no refund will be provided.

Egholm Tours is not responsible for delays involving flights, ferries, buses, taxis or other forms of transport.

6. Passengers and Health Conditions

The customer is responsible for assessing whether they and the other passengers included in the booking are fit to participate in the tour.

Before departure, passengers must inform the crew of any circumstances that may be relevant to safety, including:

  • reduced mobility
  • serious illness
  • a need for special assistance
  • any other health condition that may affect participation

Egholm Tours may refuse a passenger permission to participate if the captain considers that their participation may be unsafe for the passenger, other passengers, the crew or the boat.

7. Children

Children must remain under the supervision of an adult throughout the entire tour.

The accompanying adult is responsible for the child and must ensure that the child follows all instructions given by the captain and crew.

Further rules are set out in the document Safety on Board.

11. Alcohol and Intoxicating Substances

Passengers must not arrive visibly under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or other substances that may impair their ability to behave safely on board.

The captain may refuse a person permission to board or require them to leave the boat if they are considered to be intoxicated, unsafe, threatening or disruptive.

No refund will be provided in such cases.

Alcohol may only be brought on board or consumed with the prior agreement of Egholm Tours and the permission of the captain.

12. Conduct on Board

Passengers must show consideration for other passengers, the crew, the boat, the natural environment and wildlife.

The captain may refuse a passenger permission to participate or may terminate their participation if the passenger fails to follow instructions or behaves in a manner that may affect safety or the experience of others.

No refund will be provided where a passenger is refused participation because of their own conduct.

13. Clothing and Personal Equipment

Passengers are responsible for wearing clothing suitable for Faroese weather conditions and travel by boat.

Passengers are advised to bring:

  • waterproof clothing where appropriate
  • suitable footwear

Egholm Tours is not responsible for belongings that are lost, forgotten or damaged during the tour.

15. Photographs and Recordings

Passengers may take photographs and make recordings for private use, provided that this does not interfere with safety, the crew or other passengers.

The use of drones, professional recording equipment or recordings for commercial purposes requires prior written permission from Egholm Tours.

Egholm Tours may take photographs or recordings in connection with tours and marketing activities. Where identifiable individuals are used as the main subject, consent will be obtained where required. Further information is provided in the Privacy Notice.

Passengers may only bring their own food and drinks in accordance with the rules established by Egholm Tours.

The customer may be held liable for damage caused intentionally or through irresponsible conduct by the customer or by a passenger included in the booking.

This may include damage to:

  • the boat
  • safety equipment
  • furnishings
  • technical equipment
  • other property belonging to Egholm Tours

Normal wear and tear will not be regarded as damage.

Egholm Tours is responsible for providing the tour in a safe and responsible manner.

However, Egholm Tours is not responsible for loss or damage arising from circumstances that the company could not reasonably control, including:

Such circumstances may include severe weather, natural disasters, epidemics or pandemics, war, civil unrest, strikes, instructions from public authorities, harbour closures, serious technical problems or failures in critical infrastructure.

In such cases, the customer’s entitlement to transfer the booking or receive a refund will be handled in accordance with the Refund and Cancellation Terms and applicable law.

Egholm Tours will endeavour to respond to complaints within a reasonable period.

22. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by Faroese law.

Any dispute should initially be resolved through direct communication between the customer and Egholm Tours.

Where a dispute cannot be resolved by agreement, it may be submitted to the relevant complaints authority or the Faroese courts in accordance with applicable rules.

23. Changes to These Terms

Egholm Tours may update these terms where considered necessary.

The terms that were in effect when the booking was made will apply to that booking, unless a change is required because of legislation, regulatory requirements or safety considerations.
